Rangers: Fans react to Steven Gerrard comments

Glasgow Rangers fans are confused by comments from Steven Gerrard, who said that referees should be trusted to make big decisions.

The Gers have had a difficult time in regards to their relationship with the officials in recent weeks.

Firstly, Alfredo Morelos retrospectively received a three-game ban for stamping on Hibernian’s Ryan Porteous (BBC), while Kemar Roofe was hit with a two-game suspension after a poor challenge on St. Johnstone’s Murray Davidson.

Gerrard and the Ibrox outfit called for consistency in decisions following the Morelos incident (The Daily Record), and now the boss has come out in defence of the referees, saying they should be trusted. The club’s supporters do not seem to agree – they clearly feel they have been on the end of some unfair officiating in recent weeks.

The comments were shared on the club’s official Twitter account, and the fans took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
