Wolves fans exploded with delight after news broke that striker Raul Jimenez has signed a new contract with the club.

Jimenez has been an absolute delight for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side since his £30m move from Benfica last summer, having initially joined the club on a season-long loan. He has gone on to score 46 goals and provided 18 assists from 103 appearances, as per TransferMarkt.

Last season, he was described as “world-class” by the Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, who stated that Jimenez is good enough to play for Pep Guardiola’s side, cited by talkSPORT.
