It’s been a fantastic year for the Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern, and it seems like it could get even better. Pep Guardiola’s career following the end of his playing days has been all about win-after-win – both on and off the field.
He got the results he needed on the field during last season, with his side dominating the Premier League, and now he’s reportedly on course to get what he wants off the field, too.

Man City’s interest in Jorginho has been well documented, but it now appears as though a deal is edging closer.
With Fabinho now at Liverpool, there is a real shortage of top quality central midfielders, and so landing Jorginho would be a real statement of intent from the Citizens.
Whether a deal happens sooner, rather than later, remains to be seen – but positive steps are clearly being made.
Landlord’s Verdict
A move for Jorginho would be great for Man City. Fernandinho isn’t getting any younger, and the Napoli man ticks all the right boxes.
He was a regular for Napoli last season, and he looks ready for a big step to the Premie League.
A great passer, tackler, and runner – he would be able to fit in alongside Fernandinho or, indeed, in place of him.
The sooner this deal is done the better.
