Finally, a saga that involves a Portuguese big name and a potential move to Manchester United appears to be drawing to a close.
The Transfer Tavern is in delight after a hugely protracted saga, though its not the name most were expecting to be nearing Old Trafford.
It finally looks as if Jose Mourinho Renato Sanches is close to agreeing a blockbuster switch to the Red Devils after respected journalist Andy Brassell revealed all to BT Sport
It is believed the club and Benfica have agreed a colossal deal to bring the 18-year old midfielder to England this summer, which could prove more expensive than Anthony Martial’s £58m switch from Monaco last year.
‘It could be his last game. Benfica president, Luis Filipe Vieira, was in Manchester about ten days ago agreeing a payment schedule for the fee’, he stated.
‘It looks like it will be €40m (£31.5m) up front and then €40m (£31.5m) in add-ons.’
If incentives are met, the Portuguese international will cost as much as £63m, making him by far and away the most expensive teenager in world football.
A dynamic box-to-box midfielder, he is highly rated in the game and proving to be a comfortable top level performer despite his relative inexperience.

Will Sanches be as much of a success as Anthony Martial?
