Rodgers’ Celtic outcast could be offered January exit

Having watched their record the first of what is hopefully many trophies under Brendan Rodgers yesterday, the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are dancing in sheer delight.

The League Cup is the first piece of silverware to come in during the Rodgers era at Celtic Park and the Hoops propping up the bar clearly hope it really won’t be the last.

Still, they may have to do so without Logan Bailly. Not that that’ll be too much of an issue for the Bhoys.

According to the Sun, the 30-year-old goalkeeper could be offered an exit route in January as Belgian outfit Gent line up a move for him.

He’s barely figured in Scotland since joining the club last year and has both Craig Gordon and Dorus de Vries ahead of him in the shot-stopping ranks right now.

As you can well imagine, the fans in this evening couldn’t seem to care less as to whether or not he leaves, hoping his departure may be enough to hand a burgeoning talent from the youth ranks a chance.

Bailly is thought to retain ambitions of playing for a top Belgium side one day and could be off in the New Year.

Has Bailly had a fair crack of the whip at Celtic? Let us know below..
