Leeds United supporters have been drowning their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern recently after seeing the Yorkshire giants suffer back-to-back home Championship defeats at the hands of Sheffield United and Derby County earlier this week.
Thomas Christiansen’s men made a fast start to the new season and sat top of the division back in September, but a wretched run of form has since seen the Whites drop out of the top six. And the Yorkshire outfit were unable to stop the rot this week after first going down 2-1 to Chris Wilder’s high-flying Sheffield United last Friday, with David Brooks bagging the winner in the second half, before losing out to Gary Rowett’s Derby by the same scoreline on Tuesday night, despite taking the lead at Elland Road through Pierre Michel Lasogga.
Thus, there is a despondent mood among our resident Leeds fans in the Tavern but many are already focusing on their side’s clash with resurgent Brentford on Saturday evening, where head coach Christiansen will be under pressure to get a positive result going into the international break.
And the future of the former APOEL chief has been the subject of many debates among Leeds supporters on Twitter in recent days, with the Whites’ run of five defeats in six matches and six in their last eight somewhat calling into question the 44-year-old’s suitability for the role.
Yet many Leeds fans, who saw their team win five of their opening seven Championship games, are indeed backing the ex-striker to turn things around at Elland Road…
I’m not calling for Christiansen’s head yet, it’s still too soon in my opinion. #lufc

Stick 100% haven’t got anywhere changing managers 24/7. We’ve seen how good they can play, Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Even if leeds finish 10th this year I would stick with him and let him build, so sick of changing managers all the time #lufc

We need continuity. TC should be given plenty of time. We can’t keep sacking managers every few months. That’s the Cellino way.

100% stick… Chopping and changin manager worked under cellino… not..

No. Doing a terrific job.

Christiansen can steer us out of it. Players need stability and continuity. Sacking TC is simply a lazy solution right now IMHO #LUFC #MOT
