Premier League outfit Everton have started this season in style, with new boss Ronald Koeman guiding the Toffees into a lofty sixth place in the league.
The Dutchman was a shrewd appointment in the summer to replace the sacked Roberto Martinez and their supporters here in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted with their promising start to the 2016/17 campaign.
Despite their good opening to the season several of the long-suffering Everton faithful who play for the Tavern’s darts team are refusing to get carried away, having been lured into a false sense of optimism before, only to see it end in disappointment.
One Everton follower is sat chatting to the landlord and he believes that the club still need to strengthen certain areas of the squad during the January transfer window.
This got Transfer Tavern writer Lee Clarke thinking about two potential Italian players which Everton could look to sign during the next transfer window.
Davide Zappacosta

The 24-year-old Italian defender would be a shrewd signing for Everton and with the future of Seamus Coleman looking uncertain, it could well leave a void on the right-hand side of defence.
The Torino man can also play at left-back if required to do so and given his age he would fit into the Everton blueprint of allowing younger players the chance to excel in the first-team.
Our resident DJ spent the summer on the decks in Italy and he heard rave reviews about Zappacosta, with some Torino fans already resigned to losing him to a bigger club at some point.
Domenico Berardi

The Italian youngster looks set for a bright future in professional football and a move to a bigger club than Sassuolo looks a certainty at some point.
The versatile forward has played 129 games for his current employers, netting 51 goals already, despite operating as a winger from time to time.
One Italian exchange student has dropped into the Tavern for a quick latte and he thinks the Premier League would be perfect for Berardi, stating that a move to Everton would be a real step up for the 22-year-old.
Everton fans, would you welcome these players to the club? Which other Italian players should Ronald Koeman consider? Let us know in the comments below!!!
