The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season, and results lately have, simply put, not been good enough to warrant a fresh contract extension.

There has even been talk amongst the Arsenal fans in the Tavern that Wenger should move on immediately, and whilst that is unlikely to happen, might it actually be best for business at Arsenal?

Well, when you see managers like Leonardo Jardim displaying exciting, free-flowing football at the helm of Monaco – as he did against Man City – it certainly makes you wonder whether the Gunners might be wise to make a switch.

In many ways, Jardim himself could even be the perfect appointment, and it might be time for Stan Kroenke to gamble.
