Sam Winnall posts update on Instagram

It would be safe to say that Sam Winnall has not had the easiest of times recently as a Sheffield Wednesday player.

The striker has spent almost a year on the sidelines with a serious injury, having made his last senior appearance in February, before being hit with another knock as he was closing in on a return.

Jos Luhukay has revealed in the past that the Owls will need to be patient to see the 27-year-old back in first-team action.

However, Winnall, who has admitted that it has been the hardest challenge he has ever come up against, revealed that he has had a great feeling recently and is hopeful that he can make a return very soon.

Posting a photo on Instagram, the striker stated that he is continuing to fight and is working hard to be in even better condition than before.

The Verdict:

Although it remains to be seen when Winnall will make his return to the Sheffield Wednesday side, it will give them a boost that he is working hard to make a return.

The 27-year-old is a deadly threat in front of goal and is someone that Luhukay’s side could do with as they struggle to find the results they need in the Championship.

It has been a difficult year for Winnall, however, with him in what appears to be a positive mood, hopefully, it will not be too long before he is back on the Hillsborough pitch.
