Schurrle will head back to Dortmund if Fulham get relegated

Andre Schurrle

Fulham currently find themselves sitting in the bottom three after a disappointing run of games under Claudio Ranieri, with their Premier League future in doubt.

The Cottagers have been a huge disappointment up until this point and they don’t look like improving any time soon. And, it appears as if they may lose one of their stars at the end of the season, as according to Sport1, Andre Schurrle will return to Borussia Dortmund if Fulham get relegated to the Championship.

Andre Schurrle will head back to parent club Borussia Dortmund if Fulham are relegated out of the Premier League.

Indeed, the German moved to Craven Cottage on a season-long loan back in the summer transfer window and any permanent stay depends on the Cottagers’ preserving their top-flight status.

It’s safe to say that the attacker has been one of their standout performers in the current campaign, having found the back of the net six times in the Premier League.

THE VERDICT:

Andre Schurrle, who is valued at £13.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has been able to find the back of the net on a number of occasions this season, but he just hasn’t been able to do enough to point them in the right direction.

Indeed, the Cottagers will be desperate to avoid the drop this season, with another loan or even a permanent deal for Schurrle being a bonus if they manage to do so.
