Glasgow Rangers: Fans flock to Scott Arfield’s tweet

The current pandemic has left a lot people in difficult positions, and Glasgow Rangers have not managed to avoid hardship.

Whilst they are not on the front line in terms of those affected by the disease, in the footballing bubble it could have a damning effect on the future of the game. The Gers players, at least, have done their bit to help those in need. Alfredo Morelos, for example, has been spotted in his homeland of Colombia delivering meals, and Scott Arfield has also helped out by raising over £9,000 for the NHS by initiating a raffle for his match-worn shirt from the Braga game this season.

He revealed the winner via a six-word tweet, and the post received plenty of attention from the club’s supporters who took the chance to praise his actions – one fan even called him a “class act”. You can see some of the best comments below.
