Celtic will be desperate to gather some momentum in the Scottish Premiership after losing their last encounter against Hearts at Tynecastle.
The Hoops haven’t gotten off to the best of starts in the current campaign as Brendan Rodgers has a number of problems to iron over. Although, it looks as if the Northern Irishman has his eye on a potential addition, as according to the Scottish Sun, Celtic could make a late move for Harold Moukoudi.
Celtic could make a late move to land France Under-20 star Harold Moukoudi.
It’s understood that the Hoops have scouted the Le Havre defender, who would cost at least £5 million.
Indeed, The Ligue 2 club expect to sell Moukoudi before Friday’s deadline, with English Championship side Middlesbrough also in the frame.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are expected to sign at least one central defender, with Dedryck Boyata on his way out.
And the need for extra strength in that area increased after Jozo Simunovic was ruled out.
The Hoops desperately need to invest in a central defender before the transfer window deadline as Dedryck Boyata appears to be heading out of the exits and a defensive injury has added to Rodgers’ worries.
Indeed, the French defender would be a great coup if they can manage to bring him to Scotland as a number of clubs have previously been linked with him.
If Celtic fail to bring a defender in before the deadline then they may as well wave goodbye to their chances of securing the treble, as Rangers mean business this season.
