Celtic fans loved Ryan Christie’s Scottish Cup heroics today

Today saw a huge win for The Hoops in the Scottish League Cup semi-final. The Bhoys went in at half-time with the score at 0-0 and Brendan Rodgers’ knew something had to change. He brought on young Ryan Christie for the second-half and the 23-year-old ran riot at Murrayfield.

Whilst the first-half lacked action and finished 0-0, the second half was the Ryan Christie show. The young winger won his side a penalty just minutes after the break, which Scott Sinclair dispatched to give his side the lead. Things just got better for Celtic and Christie after that, though, and the impact sub grabbed himself an assist and a goal to go with his place in the Scottish League Cup semi-final.

The Bhoys will now be hoping they can put in the second half performance from today when they play in the final of the competition. Christie will have near-enough guaranteed his spot in the starting eleven for that clash and he could well be the Bhoys’ hero as they aim to make it seven straight domestic honours since Brendan Rodgers’ took charge of the club back ahead of the 2016/17 season.

The Bhoys are raving over Christie, and for good reason, as the youngster has single-handedly booked his side a place in the first cup final of the season.
