Celtic’s reserve side faced off against Falkirk in competitive action away in the Reserve Challenge Cup and won 2-1 yesterday. The young Hoops had a moment of magic just minutes into the second half to give them the lead as young Armstrong Oko-Flex flicked on a corner at the near-post which looped over everyone and into the far corner.

The youngster’s goal would have been good enough to win any game, let alone the reserve Challenge League Cup clash away at Falkirk. The skill and technique needed to time the flick and the accuracy to get it up and over the ‘keeper yet back down to dip in off the post shows just how good the young lad is. Oko-Flex is just 16-year-old and has a big future ahead of him it seems, especially if he can keep scoring goals like that.
The Bhoys were delighted with the result but, in truth, the result took a back seat when the fans saw the goal and it will be a strike that the Bhoys will put on repeat. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if it was scored in the senior team, preferably tonight against RB Leipzig at Parkhead, as Brendan Rodgers’ side faces a tough test in the Europe League yet again.

You can see why the Bhoys have been raving over this wonderstrike, and they’ll be hoping that the youngster can one day do that for the senior side.
