Celtic fans on Twitter spent the half-time break demanding Sinclair come off last night

For football fans on Twitter, there’s nothing more pleasing than when you find yourself demanding a change is made just for the gaffer to make that exact change. That’s exactly what happened for the Hoops yesterday after Scott Sinclair’s first-half display against RB Salzburg yesterday left everyone watching, including Brendan Rodgers, agreeing that he had to be hooked.

Scott Sinclair is a man struggling with his form. The Hoops have been getting more and more frustrated with the winger as his time at the club has drawn on. In his first season at the club, the ex-Manchester City man won the Scottish Premier League player of the season award for his performances, but his second season saw a decline in his performances and this season has seen him reach even lower levels.

It took just 45 minutes of running around like a headless chicken, losing the ball and playing horrendously for the Bhoys’ out-of-form winger to be taken off and it was the hard-working Scott Brown who came on in his place. Some games are just made for a player like Sinclair, and last night’s clash wasn’t one of them as they found themselves being given a good game by the Austrian’s, eventually faltering 2-1 on the night.

You can read the Hoops’ half-time calls for Sinclair to come off here:

The Bhoys were fuming at Sinclair at half-time and were relieved to see the back of the winger.
