Celtic fans on Twitter want to see Griffiths back for League Cup final

Today has been a very good day for Celtic fans. The club travelled to Murrayfield to take on Hearts in the Scottish League Cup semi-final and they bagged themselves a spot in the final for the third year in a row with a 3-0 win. Leigh Griffiths missed out with an injury today, but the Hoops are desperate for him to be back for the Hampden Park final.

Leigh Griffiths is a big part of this Celtic squad. The Scotland striker adds goals to the club and always puts in 100% when he pulls on the green and white shirt. The fact that Brendan Rodgers’ side was able to win so convincingly without their striker today was a huge sign of strong this side are domestically, however, they’ll only get better when they’ve got their 28-year-old goal-getter back in the side.
Rodgers has put together a domestic juggernaut at Parkhead. Griffiths and co at the club have won the last six available domestic honours and the Scottish league Cup would make that seven as they aim to turn their double-treble into a triple-treble with nine domestic honours in three years. It will certainly be easier said than done, though, and it will be a huge relief for the club if Griffiths is back and available for the final in December.
