Celtic fans took to Twitter to rave over sublime Forrest brace

Yesterday, Celtic hosted top of the table Kilmarnock at Parkhead in the Scottish Premier League and it was a game that didn’t disappoint. The Bhoys showed exactly why they deserved to be ahead of Kilmarnock as they brushed them aside comfortably, winning 5-1 and taking back top spot, and it was a brace from James Forrest that’s got the fans talking.

Forrest scored a sublime double in the match and did so in style. His first goal opened the scoring against Kilmarnock whilst his second rounded it off on a day where everything went right for the Scottish sensation. The 27-year-old has now bagged 11 goals and 13 assists for the Hoops this season in his 28 games, and when you also factor in his five goals for the Scottish national team, it’s hard to ignore the winger’s form.

At the age of 27, it seems that Forrest is finally showing the form that everyone knew he was capable of. The supporters absolutely love their homegrown winger and will be looking to him over the next few months to keep up his goalscoring touch in both the Scottish Premier League and the Europa League as Brendan Rodgers’ side continues to battle it out in multiple competitions.

The Bhoys were in awe of Forrest’s sublime contribution to their win and will hope he has plenty more goals to add this season.
