Celtic haven’t exactly gotten of to the best of starts this season as they were knocked out of the Champions League and suffered a setback in the Scottish Premiership.
The Hoops are definitely a force to be reckoned with under Brendan Rodgers, but their season could all depend on how much business he completes this week. Interestingly, it appears as if the Northern Irishman is looking to spend some money, as according to the Mail Online, Celtic are ready to return for Scott McKenna.
It’s understood that Celtic are ready to return for Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna despite being rebuffed by the Pittodrie club who rejected a £3.5 million bid this week.
Although, it doesn’t look as if this is the only player that the Hoops will try to bring to Parkhead before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month, as Rodgers said this:
‘Let’s wait and see,’
‘Time will tell. I think there’s a lot of work going on. It’s clear that we need. But we’ll see.’
The Hoops desperately need to land a central defender having witnessed some of their recent performances, and Scott McKenna may just be the man to cure their defensive woes.
Indeed, Brendan Rodgers has failed to find the perfect replacement for Virgil Van Dijk since he left the club a while back, but Scottish youngster McKenna could hold all the answers as he has already displayed his qualities in the Scottish Premiership at Aberdeen.
