Jonny Hayes must improve at Celtic

Celtic have managed to find their feet in recent times as they appear to have gotten their campaign back on track under Brendan Rodgers.

The Hoops haven’t looked back since defeat against Hearts in the Scottish Premiership as they continue to gather momentum. Interestingly, Brendan Rodgers didn’t exactly bring in a large amount of players this summer in comparison to bitter rivals Rangers, but he will still be confident that his side can get the job done.

Indeed, the Scottish club have already experienced some highs and lows in the current campaign, with some of their summer signings failing to gel at this stage.

Worryingly, one man who has failed to have a positive impact on proceedings so far is summer signing Jonny Hayes, who is currently valued at £720k (by Transfermarkt).

It’s difficult to see what exactly it was that Rodgers saw in the Irishman to lead him to sign Hayes for Celtic but it’s something that supporters now have to deal with. Indeed, Hayes appears to be a signing everyone will be better off forgetting, with just one assist to his name so far as a complete waste of space.

Celtic will need to ensure that they give their best players the chance to succeed in the current campaign as they can’t afford any slip ups with Rangers also in the hunt for the title, so Hayes may have to slide down the pecking order in order to avoid any mistakes being made.
