Rodgers can rely on McGregor and Edouard to excel against Hibernian

Celtic will be desperate to improve on things in the Scottish Premiership by ensuring some consistency, with one hand firmly on the title at this moment in time.

The Hoops have had to deal with competition from the likes of Rangers and Kilmarnock in recent times, but Brendan Rodgers’ side now appear to be steering clear of the competition.

Celtic will travel to Easter Road to face Hibernian in their next Scottish Premiership fixture. The Hibees are unbeaten in their last two league fixtures and they’re always up for a game against Celtic, so the Hoops will be right up against it later on today.

So, Rodgers can leave Gerrard in the dust if these TWO stars excel today…

Callum McGregor has established himself as a fan favourite over the years as he never fails to put in a world-class performance at Celtic, with four goals and six assists to his name so far this season.

The Scotland international was influential once again in the Hoops’ last Scottish Premiership outing against Kilmarnock, as he ran the show in midfield and was classy on the ball.

Therefore, if he excels once again later on today then Hibernian stand no chance.

Odsonne Edouard has dropped off the pace slightly in recent times as he’s only managed to score one goal in his last four Scottish Premiership appearances.

However, the Frenchman managed to put in a convincing performance against Killy last time as he netted a goal and was always lively, looking to find pockets of space in the opposition’s defence.

So, Rodgers will be hoping that his last performance is a sign of things to come.
