Celtic will still fancy themselves in the race for the Scottish Premiership title, despite suffering a slight dip in form over the past couple of weeks.
The Hoops have the perfect opportunity to invest in the January transfer window, with a couple of quality signings possibly helping create a gap between them and Rangers.
However, Celtic will need to be at their best later on today as they’ll travel to Ibrox to face the Gers in their next Scottish Premiership fixture. The opposition will be looking to get revenge after suffering defeat earlier this season and, with the title race so tight, this game could prove crucial.
So, Celtic fans can expect fireworks if Brendan Rodgers calls upon these TWO players today…
Anthony Ralston is arguably one of the hottest prospects at Celtic at this moment in time. He managed to find the back of the net against Motherwell not so long ago, along with providing an attacking threat all night.
Therefore, with Mikael Lustig struggling to impress in the current campaign, there’s no reason as to why Rodgers shouldn’t put his trust in the youngster once again after witnessing his recent performances.
Scott Sinclair has really come into his own in recent times as a regular starter under Rodgers. And, he managed to bag a hat-trick last time out against Aberdeen, so he is bang in-form heading into the Old Firm clash.
The Englishman’s trickery and skill could work wonders against a side like Rangers, who like to get their full-backs up the field to contribute in the final third. So, Sinclair will be looking to get in behind and could even decide to cut in onto his right foot, with the ability to find the back of the net from distance.
