The Hoops managed to secure all three points against a helpless Hamilton Academical side last time out, which helped Rodgers’ side cement their place at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
However, the Scottish club will have one eye on the January transfer window having failed to ensure consistency at times in Europe in the current campaign.
Interestingly, the month of December will have a huge say on how Celtic’s season pans out as things could go one of two ways, with their Scottish Premiership title hopes and European future at stake.
With that in mind, here is the dream December for the Hoops…
JAMES FORREST DOUBLES HIS TALLY
James Forrest has come on leaps and bounds on the international stage, in Europe and domestically this season, having produced nine goals and 13 assists at Celtic and four goals while on international duty with Scotland recently.
The Hoops will feature nine times in the month of December, so producing another nine goals shouldn’t be too much to ask having witnessed his goalscoring form in recent times.
Another prolific month for the Scotland international would put fans in dreamland as it could help the Hoops mount a lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and qualify for the knockout stages in Europe.
STEER CLEAR OF RANGERS
Celtic currently find themselves in first position in the Scottish Premiership table, with bitter rivals Rangers only two points behind them. Rodgers won’t let the Bluenoses’ presence have any affect on his players, but he’d love nothing more than to steer clear of them in the build up to the New Year.
If the Hoops manage to ensure consistency and secure all three points in the Old Firm clash at the end of this month, then they’ll already have one hand firmly on the title, which will be sure to delight supporters.
