The Hoops will be pleased with how things have gone domestically but their European performances have been absolutely horrific, with just three points to their name from their opening three games.
Indeed, the Scottish Premiership club drafted in a couple of players during the summer, so it’s safe to say that Brendan Rodgers has a good squad at his disposal. But, it’s all about whether the players can ensure consistency by grinding out positive results from here on in.
Interestingly, the month of November may decide Celtic’s fate as they have the opportunity to climb back into title contention and produce a winning streak in Europe, but things could also go horribly wrong at the same time.
With that in mind, here is the dream November for the Hoops…
JAMES FORREST AND ODSONNE EDOUARD CONTINUE TO DOMINATE
James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard have been simply sensational in recent times as two of the Hoops’ standout performers, with six and five goals respectively in the month of October in all competitions.
The Scotsman managed to net four of his goals in one game against St. Johnstone and has looked a constant threat down the right-hand side, while the Frenchman has found himself on the scoresheet in almost every game.
And, November has gotten off to the perfect start, with Forrest notching one and Edouard hitting the back of the net twice against Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.
ENJOY UNBEATEN EUROPEAN RUN
Celtic have had a season to forget in Europe as they failed to qualify for the Champions League and have looked less than convincing since making the drop down to the Europa League.
The Hoops currently only have three points to their name after three Europa League games, with one more slip-up potentially seeing them exit from the competition.
So, it’s vital that Rodgers can rally his troops to produce a winning streak in Europe as this would offer another opportunity to secure some silverware.
