Celtic will be disappointed that they didn’t managed to secure all three points against Livingston prior to the international break, as they were held to a bore draw.
The Hoops currently find themselves at the top of the table with a game-in-hand over Hearts in second position, so they’ll be desperate to produce an unassailable lead once play resumes.
Of course, with the January transfer window on the horizon and other teams looking to strengthen to help their own push for silverware, it’s about time Celtic started looking at potential additions.
Peter Lawwell and Brendan Rodgers failed to secure any major coups during the summer transfer window, other than Odsonne Edouard on a permanent deal, so they’ll need to go big in January to really impress supporters.
With that in mind, here’s a look at TWO stars that Celtic should sign in January…
Nathaniel Clyne has stagnated behind the scenes at Liverpool in recent years due to injury troubles and a lack of first team football, with Trent Alexander-Arnold taking his place on the right-hand side of the defence.
The Hoops could do with bringing in a full-back in January as Mikael Lustig is getting on with age and hasn’t always looked comfortable in possession, so bringing the Englishman to the club would iron over any underlying issues.
Kasper Dolberg is one of the hottest prospects in world football and even managed to secure a place in the Denmark squad in the summer at the World Cup.
Indeed, the 21-year-old has managed to find the back six times for current club PSV Eindhoven, with five of these goals coming in just seven appearances in the Eredivisie.
The Hoops failed to bring in a replacement for Moussa Dembele in the dying embers of the summer transfer window, so Celtic’s hopes of securing a third successive treble could depend on whether they secure someone like Dolberg.
