Odsonne Edouard can so often be the star man at Parkhead. The French striker has the pace and goalscoring touch to be a success at the Glasgow club, but last night saw him struggle against their Austrian opposition, RB Salzburg in Europa league action.
Diisappointed with the result but we retain the most important qualification for the rest of the competition @CelticFC

The Frenchman’s first touch and link up play let him down loads yesterday and the fans weren’t best pleased, even though the 20-year-old has so often been one of the men who makes the difference at the club. It was a massive let down performance from the youngster, and even though it wasn’t the result that the fans wanted, they got the luck of the group at Rosenborg’s late equaliser in the other game against RB Leipzig saw the, sneak through over the Germans.
However, the next lot of games in the Europa League will be much more important to the fans, and if Edouard lets the Bhoys down again then it’s hard to see a way in which he’ll be quickly forgiven. The comments have been rolling in overnight in response to his tweet after the match, and to be honest it’s easy to understand why after his massive let down of a display.

Odsonne, we love you but remember….tweets don’t count. What you do on the pitch is the most important. Toughen up. Pass faster. Score goals.

A tough shift for you against that defence tonight. Try to press them when they have the ball. You have proven your worth in the UEL. Rest up, regroup and power on. Hail hail Eddie!

The Bhoys will always love Edouard, but it’s hard to get past his shocker from yesterday.
