Considering that the Gers have to entertain Celtic at Ibrox in just two days time, they’d have been desperate to grab a big Boxing Day win yesterday to give themselves momentum. However, a late Darren McGregor goal saw them falter to a 101 home draw with Hibs on a disappointing day, even if Ross McCrorie was superb throughout.

Whilst it’s easy to focus on the negatives after a result like the one that Steven Gerrard’s side picked up yesterday, the fans have been a credit to the club and have held their heads high, instead opting to congratulate the young defensive midfielder, Ross McCrorie, who played the full 90 minutes against Hibs and was a rock throughout, impressing all of the onlooking fans.
When Alfredo Morelos gave the Bluenoses a first-half lead, it looked like the game could turn into a formality for the Ibrox faithful. However, Neil Lennon’s side wasn’t prepared to be walked all over and they held their ground well until eventually finding a timely equaliser to walk away with a valuable point. The Gers will now be after a reaction on Saturday against Celtic, they want just more of the same from McCrorie, who was simply outstanding.

Rangers fans everywhere were delighted with McCrorie’s display against Hibs and will hope he’s saved something for Celtic this Saturday.
