Celtic have been the form team in the Scottish Premiership recently as they continue to hunt down yet another Scottish Premiership title.
The Hoops will be desperate to enjoy an unbeaten run under Brendan Rodgers with plenty to improve on in the Europa League this season. Although, it appears as if the club are hoping to hold onto one of their star men, as according to The Scottish Sun, Rodgers hasn’t given up hope of convincing Dedryck Boyata to stay.
Brendan Rodgers insists he hasn’t given up hope of convincing Dedryck Boyata to stay at Celtic.
Indeed, the Belgian defender is in the last year of his contract with the champions and looks set to move on for free next summer.
“There is always a possibility, but we just have to see. It is between him and the club.
“What is good is that he is focused and playing well. His development in the last couple of years has been fantastic.”
Dedryck Boyata has been one of the standout performers for Celtic since returning from the World Cup, so they’ll be desperate to hold onto him.
The Belgian appears to want a move away from Scotland at some point in the future, but supporters will be hopeful that Rodgers can persuade him to stay.
