Celtic will be desperate to secure a third successive treble under Brendan Rodgers, but they haven’t quite reached their full potential this season.
The Hoops managed to get the better of Hibernian last weekend as they took a step towards securing first position in the Scottish Premiership.
Interestingly, Celtic will travel to Tynecastle to face an in-form Hearts side in the Scottish League Cup. The Jambos have been the standout performers in the top-flight of Scottish football this season and are one of Celtic’s biggest title challengers, so this is a massive game for the Hoops mentally.
So, Brendan Rodgers must get his team selection right by selecting these TWO Celtic stars…
Tom Rogic has had to settle for a place on the substitutes’ bench for large parts of the current campaign but he has really impressed in recent times, with a permanent starting place almost secured.
Indeed, the Australian managed to find the back of the net and grabbed an assist against Hibernian last weekend to follow on from three assists in the match against St. Johnstone, so it’s fair to say that the attacking midfielder simply has to start against league leaders Hearts later on today.
Odsonne Edouard has started to show glimpses of something special in recent games having netted a number of goals in his last handful of appearances in all competitions.
Indeed, the Frenchman is starting to fill the huge void left by Moussa Dembele and will play a huge part in their quest for a third successive treble, with today’s game against Hearts being of huge importance.
So, the Hoops will be heavily reliant on the 20-year-old to fire them to victory away from home.
