The Manchester United supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are reasonably satisfied with the Red Devils’ form of late and they are excited at what the future might hold under Jose Mourinho.

It was a difficult start to life at Old Trafford for the ex-Chelsea boss, although he now seems to have the team back on the straight and narrow

It remains to be seen whether United can gatecrash the chase for a Champions League spot through the Premier League this season, and their best bet could be by winning the Europa League.

Although Mourinho hasn’t got a great track record of playing younger players, there is little doubting that United do have a large plethora of younger talent to choose from at the club should he wish to do so.

Time, then, to look at two rising stars who could become first-team regulars at Old Trafford in years to come.

Axel Tuanzebe

The Congolese defender has featured for the first-team in the FA Cup this season and he looks as though he could be  a future first-team regular.

One United fan is sat chilling with his pals in the Tavern and he thinks that Tuanzebe could be solid player for the club in future years, stating that he looks to be cut from the same cloth as Chris Smalling.

Regan Poole

The Welsh defender joined Manchester United from Newport County and he features regularly for the club’s development squad.

He could definitely make the grade at the Red Devils if he continues to develop at his current rate and one fan in the Tavern, who was rather drunk last night, was also of the opinion that Poole could be the next player to make the step up at United.
