‘Shakespeare to manage Arsenal?’ Fans react to Leicester City’s UCL heroics

As if they haven’t given us oh so memories over the last year or so, punters in the Transfer Tavern (from up and down the country) reacted with delight last night as they watched Premier League champions Leicester City progress into the next round of the Champions League.

The Foxes managed to hold off Sevilla over two legs, making it into the quarter-finals and, as a result, a whole load of jokes directed towards the Arsenal fans drowning their sorrows have been fired over. Rather amazingly indeed, Leicester have managed to go further amongst the European elite during their first season in it than the Gunners have in the last seven years.

Though the north London locals in the bar have been through it all of late, their fellow drinkers aren’t showing much in the way of compassion or empathy, much like the majority of users on social media. With that in mind, here’s how Twitter slated Arsenal.
