In an interview with Dom Howson, former Sheffield Wednesday captain Glenn Loovens has opened up about his time at Hillsborough.
The ex-defender, who retired last year after seeing out his final match with Sunderland, spoke to Howson about his four-and-a-half year era with Wednesday.

Loovens has said he is proud of the time he spent in Yorkshire and stated he has ‘only got good things to say about the club’. He has also discussed defining moments such as the dismissal of Stuart Gray and the signing of Carlos Carvalhal.

The Dutchman made 150 total appearances for Sheffield Wednesday, the most matches he played in his career over any other domestic club (via Transfermarkt).
Owls fans are delighted with the things Loovens has said in his interview and many are missing his leadership as they reflect on their current squad. One supporter has even said ‘I’d rather have him in charge than Monk’.
