Sheffield Wednesday earned themselves a spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the weekend as they beat Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
The Owls have had a good season so far this year and though recent form in the league has tailed off, the win over Brighton could well spur them on and help them pick up form-wise.
Certainly, it was a result that they deserved with their second-half performance befitting of a Premier League outfit with Brighton putting in a pretty turgid display all things considered.
Wednesday will be looking forward to getting back to league action against Leeds United this weekend, then, but they’ve now also learned who they’re going to play in the next round with the draw being made on Monday night.
