Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to Dom Howson tweet around Izzy Brown

Many Sheffield Wednesday fans are reacting to a tweet from journalist Dom Howson in which he posts an article that discusses attacking midfielder Izzy Brown.

The Englishman has played 15 games this season and only has one assist to his name (Transfermarkt). In Howson’s tweet he shared an article explaining how Brown could be ‘unleashed’ in preparation for the match against Brentford yesterday.

However, this wasn’t the case and he only came on in the 77th minute when Oluwafisayo Dele-Bashiru came off with an injury, and this shows that he is not really highly-rated by manager Neil Thompson, (SofaScore).

Last season for Luton, Brown scored one goal and picked up seven assists in 25 appearances, whilst also managing 2.1 key passes a game and 2 successful dribbles per game, via WhoScored. This highlights why he was signed by the club in the first place, but he has failed to set the world alight with the Owls, and this is worrying, especially with the club embroiled in a relegation battle.

Here is how Sheffield Wednesday fans reacted to the tweet:

“Sorry, i really hope he does come good but I’ve seen very little so far.”

“Unleashed hope he’s been on charge for a while. Seen enough of him in spells at us to last a life time offers nothing”
