Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react as Ahmed Musa is linked

Many Sheffield Wednesday fans are reacting to the news that striker Ahmed Musa has been linked with a move to the club.
Musa, who is valued at £5.40 million, has an abundance of experience across the globe and also in England with Leicester City. Across his career, which has also included many appearances in the Champions League, Musa has scored 88 goals and picked up 62 assists.
He has also won an array of trophies, including one for Nigeria when they won the African Cup of Nations back in 2013 (Transfermarkt). The striker is highly-rated, with former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri one hailing him as ‘excellent‘.
As a free agent, he would be not too much of a risky signing but there could be an issue with his wages given he has spent most of his time in top flight teams. The Owls are currently in the relegation zone and have only scored seven goals in 13 games (SofaScore). Therefore Musa would be a very welcomed addition if he does arrive.
Here is what fans had to say following the links:
Reports have linked Sheffield Wednesday with a move for free agent Ahmed Musa, who was the subject of a £25m transfer just two years ago.
You'd have to think it would be an expensive one.
Here's a profile on what he's about.#SWFChttps://t.co/pSYQXsXhnT

Another player without a proven goal record!!! Couldn’t the money be better spent elsewhere instead of on an expensive flop? When will we learn?!!! We need goals and whilst he’s not a bad player he doesn’t address what we need.

Haven’t we had enough expensive flops on the wage bill in recent years to know better? If we’re signing players who aren’t proven goalscorers at this level, can’t we wait until Jan and go in for someone young, hungry and talented instead? Keane Lewis-Potter at Hull maybe? #swfc

There’s definitely a improvement in names we are linked with since pulis came in, unrealistic but definitely a upgrade. https://t.co/d1Zuoi8w6t
