Sheffield Wednesday slipped up at home yesterday afternoon in the Sky Bet Championship as Cardiff City surprised them with a 2-1 win at Hillsborough.
The Owls will feel as though they are play-off contenders this season but with things looking so close they know that embarking on a poor run at any stage of the year could make life tough.
At the same time, though, no-one around the top six is looking in really impressive form at the moment and so, if they can get back to winning ways quickly against Hull at the start of 2020, things will look rosy once again fairly quickly.
The Owls will be working hard to make sure that is exactly what happens against the Tigers, then, and Garry Monk has offered this message out ahead of that game later this week:
