Sheffield Wednesday have had a pretty average season as they sit 16th in the Championship and with only four games left to go, they will probably finish around that position.
What supporters want is a good connection between them and the club and many Wednesday fans are reacting to the news that the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust tweeted out after their recent meeting with owner Dejphon Chansiri.
Chansiri has been involved with the Owls since 2015, when he led a Thai consortium to acquire a 100% stake in the club, per BBC Sport. He then bought Hillsborough Stadium in 2019 to make sure that the club would make profit but this saw them get charged by the EFL for misconduct.

The money issues seem to have continued into 2020 as a fan posted reports from The Athletic which highlights their ongoing financial fair play struggles with the EFL.
Clearly supporters are worried about the future of their club and understandably so, therefore the fact the Supporters’ Trust was able to hold a meeting with the owner was a good sign, and it seems like it was a good first meeting as they tweeted out: “We’re pleased to report we recently had a positive first meeting with Mr Chansiri. We’ll now be seeking meetings to discuss constructive solutions to issues facing the club, including those you raised in our #swfc fans’ surveys.”
Fans reactions to this have been very mixed, some are happy that it went well, but others either do not want to get their hopes up or have negative things to say about the owners, perhaps understandably so given their poor performances this season and financial issues.
