Sheffield Wednesday suffered a heavy defeat at the weekend in the Sky Bet Championship as Brentford ran out 5-0 winners at Griffin Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Owls have been up and down all season but it seems as though they on course to end this campaign with a whimper now.
Certainly, it seems hugely unlikely that a play-off challenge is going to be strung together in the final few weeks and it rather looks as though they are going to limp to the line.
All they can do in the next few weeks, then, is try and restore some pride and finish as high as possible because, at the moment, the fans have little to shout about at the moment.
However, the club did at least give some young kids something to be pleased about in the game with Manchester City last week, as they got the chance to be mascots:
