Manchester United will no doubt be heading into the summer with a firm plan in place to strengthen their squad.
Manager Jose Mourinho has done a good job of clearing out some of the so called dead wood at Old Trafford, while his own signings have all contributed quite well to some much improved performances this season.
Our landlord has been speaking to some United fans though this week, and the consensus is that the club need to invest in some talent in the middle of the park.
Paul Pogba will no doubt be a class act long term, but with Michael Carrick ageing and Ander Herrera inconsistent, someone who can add some real bite in the middle of the park would be ideal.
We agree with this opinion, so, with that in mind, here are TWO industrious midfielders Man United need to look to sign this summer…
Marco Verratti

One of the most sought after midfielders on the continent, Verratti is an excellent central midfield player who would benefit Mourinho’s men.
At just 24-years-old, Verratti is of the ideal age to come into Old Trafford and really make a mark. The thought of the little Italian playing alongside Paul Pogba is something Man United fans could really look forward too if a deal was to be made.
Radja Nainggolan

Another midfielder who has impressed over the last few seasons is Roma powerhouse Nainggolan.
The Belgian should be coming into his prime – he is due to turn 29 soon – and he would be an excellent signing in the middle of the park. Very much a midfielder who is box to box but likes to get his foot in, he would take a lot of pressure off of Paul Pogba and would 100% strengthen the United squad.
