With Ronald Koeman now at the helm, the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are happy to forget the Roberto Martinez era.
Now looking upon their pint glasses as half-full, the Toffees propping up the bar are delighted to have seen the back of the Spaniard.
Still, as reported by the Daily Mail, his reign in charge took one final turn recently.
The club reportedly shelled out £10m to axe the former Wigan coach, who has since taken the national job with Belgium.
So, one final kick in the teeth for the Goodison Park faithful it seems.
Though Koeman has proved a welcome tonic to their Mersey misery, the drinkers in the Tavern have been lamenting the 43-year-old even further.
It is one last turn in a largely unhappy tenure at the club, though Martinez is surely laughing himself all the way to the bank.
Included are some of the best reactions on Twitter.
Needed?
£10m pay off for Martinez wow that’s expensive but had to be done, he would have taken us down #efc
