Sod Lawro! Here’s Your Weekend Predictions…

This weekend has a fixture list that only serves to rubber stamp the Premiership as the greatest league in the world. We luuuuurve it!

Chelsea v Blackburn

Fwank has said that they don’t know for sure if they’re going to win when they play anymore. Bless. Blackburn are on a roll, but folk ought not to lose sight of the fact they are pants really. Prediction 3-0

Man City v Wolves

Mick McCarthy has pulled some rabbits out of his hat this season. Wolves are surrounded by some real dross and three points could work wonders. Bobby Mancini however really does fancy deposing Sir Alex and won’t be a soft touch. Prediction 2-0.

Stoke City v Bolton

Tony Pulis appear to be stuck mid-table and unable to budge. He just don’t seem to have the spark to shift them. Maybe he should ask Owen Coyle for some tips. My tiop is back Bolton on this one. Prediction 1-2.

West Brom v Blackpool

West Brom won’t be looking forward to this. A point off the relegation zone and hosts to a side that took 6 points off Liverpool this season. Maybe Holloway will opt to rest some of his Tangerine Galacticos and give the Baggies a break. Prediction 1-2.

Wigan v Fulham

Ooooh this won’t be great viewing. Sorry, but Mark Hughes has only been a success if you compare him to Roy Hodgson – at Liverpool. Wigan appear doomed, but can they snatch a point or even three in their death throes? My guess is… probably. Prediction 1-0.

West Ham v Arsenal

Arsenal were very sorry for themselves after their defeat in Suffolk. The pitch had cabbages sprouting out of it, Ipswich fielded rugby players. Maybe they had a point. Or maybe they should try playing a style of football that only works if no one tackles them or gets in the way. Prediction 2-2.

Birmingham v Aston Villa

The Brum are doing what Villa ought to be but aren’t. They’re making an active effort to bring in some new recruits so they might improve themselves. Houllier is less convincing to me than Hodgson. At least Roy looked upset about things. Prediction 1-1.

Sunderland v Newcastle

Derby! Sunderland are a different team to the one that the Toon humiliated earlier this term. In fact, you could argue that it was the Bar Codes that inadvertently kick started the Black Cats’ campaign. Pardew will feel the love if he can win this. Prediction 2-1.

Liverpool v Everton

All the chitter chatter about Liverpool and you might get distracted from the fact that these two sides are only separated by goal difference. Hey, maybe Liverpool could start a new trend and let a manager have like an entire season before sacking some sense into their manager. Prediction 2-2.

Tottenham v Man Utd

There was a time when Spurs used to mail Sir Alex the 3 points for this fixture at the beginning of the season. Times change. Let’s hope the game itself is the star of the show and not fiasco of questionable reffing decisions, mysterious added time… Prediction 2-1.

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
