Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White. Spurs will trigger the player’s £60m release clause, with a medical already booked for the next 24 hours.
This news comes just a day after Tottenham agreed a £55m deal for West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, as the club look to a complete a quick fire double signing. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported from his threads account that the formal steps of the deal have already been completed by the two clubs.
After a quiet beginning to the window, Tottenham have now exploded into life. Gibbs-White will take their spending to £115m as new boss Thomas Frank looks to reshape his squad. The England international scored seven goals and contributed 11 assists as Forest qualified for Europe last season.
After occupying a Champions League spot for most of the season, Forest eventually fell to 7th in the table and will play in the Europa Conference league next season. The player has now earned himself a Champions League place after all with a move to North London.
Spurs snap up Gibbs-White

Gibbs-White was a man in demand this summer. He emerged as a top target for Manchester City earlier in the window as Pep Guardiola prepared for life after Kevin De Bruyne.
City balked at the player’s transfer fee though, and ultimately opted for Lyon’s Rayan Cherki and AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders as new attacking midfield options. Other clubs in the Premier League and across Europe also showed interest in Gibbs-White but it now appears Tottenham have their man.
Gibbs-White has been one of the Premier League’s elite creators since joining Forest from Wolves for a then club-record fee of £25m plus add-ons in August 2022. He made 118 appearances in his three years at Forest, scoring 18 goals and providing 28 assists.
He broke into the England setup during that time, making his debut as a substitute in a Nations League win over the Republic of Ireland in September of 2024 under interim manager Lee Carsley.
His most recent appearance came off the bench in England’s 3-1 friendly defeat by Senegal at the City Ground under new boss Thomas Tuchel in June.
