Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both experienced managerial changes this season, but one appears to be on a far more promising trajectory than the other.
Spurs have been at the centre of the headlines over the past week following the sacking of Thomas Frank after less than eight months in charge.
The former Brentford boss took over from Ange Postecoglou in the summer, but with a relegation battle in the Premier League becoming a genuine threat, he was relieved of his duties following a midweek defeat to Newcastle United.
Igor Tudor is the man tasked with saving Spurs from the embarrassment and financial blow of a potential relegation fight for the remainder of the season, and there will be hope he can quickly stabilise the situation in north London.
Across the capital, Liam Rosenior has settled in well at Chelsea after Enzo Maresca’s tenure at Stamford Bridge was cut short following irreconcilable differences with the board.
The former Strasbourg manager has been a breath of fresh air, offering honest analysis and forward-thinking tactics during his early fixtures in charge, although there is still room for improvement as the Blues push to break into the top four.
There is no doubt that both clubs will look to the summer transfer window to strengthen their squads, with Chelsea aiming to return to the top and Spurs desperate to stabilise in order to avoid further domestic troubles.
According to BILD journalist Christian Falk, the two London clubs are interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae.
Speaking to CFBayern, Falk has claimed that both clubs are monitoring the centre-back’s situation, with the South Korean having slipped to third choice under Vincent Kompany.
After missing out on Jeremy Jacquet last month, Chelsea are keen to add further defensive reinforcements despite already being stocked with young talent.
Meanwhile, Spurs currently boast a strong centre-back partnership in Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, but a lack of depth and overall quality has proven costly this season, meaning an additional centre-back could be on the agenda.
Will Kim Min-jae leave Bayern this summer?

Min-jae – dubbed “incredible” by Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti – joined Bayern in a £43m deal back in 2023 and has been a consistent performer over the past few years, gaining valuable experience in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League.
However, the emergence of Dayot Upamecano alongside Jonathan Tah has limited his opportunities, with Min-jae making just ten league starts so far this season.
A lack of regular game time in Munich could make the defender more receptive to a move, and either Spurs or Chelsea could offer the promise of increased minutes next season.
While the Blues possess a wealth of defensive talent, much of it remains inexperienced and will take time to develop.
If Chelsea are serious about competing with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City for the title, adding a proven and experienced option could be a sensible move.
Spurs, on the other hand, require consistency and stability at the back to get back on track, particularly if they manage to avoid the drop this season.
Any transfer activity will likely depend on who becomes the club’s permanent manager in the summer, but experience, discipline and reliability are clearly lacking within the current squad and must be addressed if improvement is to follow.
With that in mind, there are several variables that would need to align before a move for Min-jae becomes viable, but there is little doubt that the Bayern defender could add significant value to either side.
