Tottenham: Romano shares ‘new direct’ Japhet Tanganga exit talks

Tottenham Hotspur are in ‘new’ talks over a move away for Japhet Tanganga as journalist Fabrizio Romano shares an update.

The Lowdown: Spurs attempting player sales…

Having sealed a plethora of major summer signings in Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence and Destiny Udogie, Spurs director Fabio Paratici is now seemingly looking to balance the books.

The likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Joe Rodon and Steven Bergwijn have all left north London, either on loan or in permanent deals, and reports suggest that more players could pack their bags before September 1.

The Premier League top four chasers have started the campaign brightly, remaining undefeated over their first three top-flight matches, and manager Antonio Conte may want to keep trimming the squad to make room for possible incomings.

The Latest: Romano shares ‘new’ Tanganga talks…

Taking to social media on Friday night, reliable journalist Romano has some exit news for supporters. He claims that European giants AC Milan are in ‘new direct talks’ with Spurs to sign defender Tanganga.

Romano explained:

“New direct talks between Tottenham and AC Milan for Japhet Tanganga. Discussion ongoing about formula and conditions of the deal.

“Deal complicated for Diallo with PSG so Tanganga is Milan priority now.”

The Verdict: Let him go?

While the Englishman can perform when given the chance, as evident by his brilliant start to last season, we believe that letting Tanganga seal a move away to Milan – preferably on loan – could be best for all parties.
