The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have been a hard bunch to please this season. Despite the Red Devil’s relative success – they’re finally back amongst the teams at the top of the table – it seems that most were expecting more.
In truth, fans were clearly hoping for more of a Premier League title challenge, and they simply haven’t had that, and so anger towards the club isn’t a real surprise.
It’s not just the team as a whole that has caused frustration amongst fans. Certain individual players have also found themselves at the centre of irritable conversations, and one player that has regularly featured is Victor Lindelof.
The young defender has struggled in his first season in England, having failed to adapt to life in the Premier League as quickly as most would have hoped.
He seems to have turned a corner, though, and he put in a stunning performance for his team on Sunday against Arsenal at Old Trafford. Named the man of the match, his name was being sung loud and proud in the Transfer Tavern.
