The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern have very high hopes for young attacker Ademola Lookman. He hasn’t had the easiest time since moving to Merseyside, but his talent is evident.
Whether the Toffees see a long-term future for him at Goodison Park remains to be seen, but it appears as though at least one club are interested in his services next season.
According to a report by Kicker, via the official Bundesliga website, RB Leipzig are keen on making his stay in Germany permanent.
He is, of course, currently on loan with the rising German outfit.
Lookman has enjoyed his time with the German outfit, gaining first-team experience in one of Europe’s top leagues, and with Leipzig set for European football again next season – there is at least a chance that he may decide to try and remain with them.
He had a strong start to life at Everton, but he’s clearly a developing player, and so a loan away is just what he needed.
A talented, technically gifted attacker, he’s got everything it takes to succeed at the highest level.
Landlord’s Verdict
The locals in the Tavern will have been pleased that Lookman has impressed during his time away from Goodison Park, however, a number of punters will be concerned that he may not return.
The 20-year-old is one of England’s brightest talents on the wing and fans will be disappointed to see him leave.
That said, if a big money offer comes in, the Toffees may struggle to say no.
Everton fans – thoughts?
