Summer is fast approaching.. Rangers must send scouts to watch these 2 players ASAP

It’s been a better couple of weeks for Gers fans here in the Transfer Tavern, who have seen new boss Pedro Caixinha finally get some success at Ibrox.

Of course, with the Scottish Premier League now in the hands of arch rivals Celtic, the only job left this campaign is to pick up as many points as possible and try and beat Aberdeen into second place.

But the real work for Caixinha and his coaches starts next season, where we’ll see the Portuguese boss try to guide his side to a tighter title race than what we’ve seen this time out.

And part of that will be his summer recruitment and who he decides to bring in over the coming couple of months.

Rangers aren’t blessed with a massive amount of financial power and fans here in the Tavern think their boss should be targeting some of the hottest young stars around, in an attempt to find a raw diamond rather than an established pro already.

So with that in mind, here’s the TWO players Rangers must send scouts to watch as soon as possible….

Santiago Ascacibar

A defensive midfielder who plays for Estudiantes, there’s plenty of hype surrounding the future of Santiago Ascacibar, who at 20-years-old has a very bright future ahead of him.

Not many Gers fans here in the Tavern have heard of him going forward but back in Argentina, he’s well known for his tackling ability and his overall dominance in the middle-of-the-park.

He helped Estudiantes to a ten game unbeaten streak last season and he’s a hot-headed player that with the right development, could be a real star.

Viktor Fischer

Viktor Fischer was once one of Ajax’s revered academy stars but since making the move to Middlesbrough, his career has nosedived and he’s struggled for game-time.

There’s little doubt he might fancy a move away from the club this summer and after a poor campaign, he’s a player Rangers might just be able to afford, if the price is right.

The Danish winger has skill, pace and trickery in abundance and would be a cracking addition to a Rangers squad that should be looking to push for the title next season.
