Sunderland are ready to sell striker Charlie Wyke as League One rivals Ipswich Town have reportedly shown an interest.
Black Cats boss Phil Parkinson has quite the job this summer to turn things around at the Stadium of Light after failing to gain a promotion from League One to the Championship.
With a whole host of players already seeing their contracts expire at the club, one player still at the club in Wyke is gaining interest ahead of a potential summer exit.
Wyke appeared 27 times for Sunderland in the 2019/2020 season, scoring five times in the league and gaining one assist in the process.
Football Insider now claim that Ipswich boss Paul Lambert is a big fan of the former Bradford City star and is keen on bringing him to Portman Road ahead of next term.
Ipswich are in a similar position to Sunderland this summer, having struggled to keep up the pace with the promotion and play-off placed sides in League One.

The report also goes on to add that Sunderland would seemingly be happy to cash in as they look to pursue transfer targets this summer.
The time has come for Sunderland to completely renew their side. This season has been a really tough one and those players who had been expected to perform, simply didn’t.
Wyke, like Will Grigg, should be sold and replaced by new and younger options. Five goals simply isn’t enough for a striker at Sunderland, especially when you consider they paid £608,000 for him.
They will struggle to recoup that money given his form, indeed Transfermarkt now value him at just £270,000. But if they could get somewhere near that from Ipswich, it would be money that could be used elsewhere which could be vital in the current uncertain financial climate.
