Everton fans here in the Tavern await possible news of a managerial change in the summer, as Sam Allardyce’s future continues to be surrounded with uncertainty. 

The Blues have come to witness some of the worst football ever to be played at Goodison Park so far this season, as the appointment of Sam Allardyce now looks to be a possible mistake by the club. Of course, escaping from the dreaded clutches of the relegation zone was a huge boost for the club, but they seem to have resorted to their inconsistent ways in weeks gone by.

Subsequently, Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright won’t be satisfied with the club’s current position, as they look set to fail in their attempts of securing a possible European spot for next season. And, another transfer window failure in January has brought some evident problems to the surface, with the disastrous £27 million signing of Cenk Tosun causing for Allardyce to be scrutinised after sanctioning the purchase.

Therefore, with the former England manager’s future surrounded with a sense of uncertainty, Everton are believed to be eyeing Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca as Allardyce’s potential successor.

 Michael Keane

The former Burnley defender was brought to Goodison Park as one of England’s brightest central defenders, after his days in Lancashire had fans purring about his arrival on Merseyside.

However, it hasn’t exactly gone to plan for the Englishman, as his first season with the Toffees has been one to forget after being at the forefront of such a disastrous start. Although there’s been moments of class shown by the 24-year-old, Everton still wait patiently for the defender to live up to the £30 million they paid for Michael Keane in the summer.

Therefore, with the possible arrival of Paulo Fonseca, he’ll want to remove of any underlying dead weight in the current squad – with the club already looking to see the back of the defender.

Tyias Browning

The 23-year-old was tipped to be one of the most promising youngsters in the Everton ranks at one point, but has failed to live up to the high expectations that many thought he would reach.

Indeed, after being sent out on loan to Sunderland this season you’d think that his career at Goodison Park is beyond him, with criticism even surrounding the Englishman’s performances at the Stadium of Light.

Therefore, for a player that’s been playing his football in the Championship for the entirety of this season, it looks as if the possible appointment of Fonseca will see the defender overlooked once again.
