There is a blow for several top Premier League clubs today as it has been claimed by the South Wales Evening Post that sensational striker Michu will not leave Swansea City – for now.
The Spanish forward has been linked with a move away from the Swans despite signing a new deal after a very successful first season at the club and has netted a host of times this season being a pivotal player in the team’s success.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made it clear on a number of occasions that he laments the fact that Michael Laudrup saw Michu first and considered making a move for the forward. The player himself has admitted that: “Swansea fans do not need to worry. I am very happy at the club, and I want to say thank you to everyone at the club because we have all enjoyed this season.”
The 22 goal forward’s admission will please the club and their fans as they both celebrate another successful campaign in the top flight while also worrying about the futures of key team-mates Ashley Williams and Michel Vorm.
