The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been lucky enough to watch some of Europe’s best players strut their stuff at Stamford Bridge.
Never afraid to spend big, Roman Abramovich has spent massive sums of money to bring players to Chelsea, and it has paid off big time for the Blues faithful.
From Diego Costa to Andriy Shevchenko, there have been no shortage of world-renowned stars. Some have been fantastic, others – not so much.
Fernando Torres, unfortunately, fell into the latter category, with the Spaniard not living up to expectations at Stamford Bridge.
Nonetheless, his spell was not without highlights, with a heroic goal against Barcelona in the Champions League, alongside a hattrick against QPR, being some of his highlights.
He might have left in 2014, but it doesn’t appear as though many Chelsea fans have forgotten his contributions at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea recently posted over on their Twitter page to wish Torres a happy birthday, and Chelsea supporters responded in their droves to fire support way of the Spaniard.

Certainly, whilst he might now be turning out for Atletico Madrid, Chelsea fans still view him through blue tinted goggles.
